Please tell me what is the fuss over greenhouse gas?!


Think of a plain clay building brick.It is 2.25 kg (about 5 lbs).
The GHG or CO2 produced by operating our example house
in the "as is" condition every year weigh roughly the same as
19,500 bricks.


That's more than enough to clad our two storey house.By improving
the envelope and replacing the furnace, the number of bricks is
reduced to 8,600 enough to clad a large bungalow.


You can calculate the amount of CO2 generated by your house
by adding up your annual energy use from your fuel bills and
multiplying the totals by the following factors:



1 kwh of electricity = 0.78 kg of C02

1 litre of oil = 2.83 kg of CO2
